Deep Level Caving at Clearwell Caves 

Caving is a physical challenge; you get a bit dirty, but its fun!

You will be walking, ducking, crawling and scrambling beyond areas open to the general visitors to discover many incredible spaces in the wilder parts of the system, that miners created, often hundreds of years ago.

Please wear loose older clothing you don't mind getting grubby. Footwear must be strong with a good grip. Walking boots or wellies are ideal. We supply helmets and lamps, overalls and belts. We have some wellies available if you do not have suitable footwear. 

Led by a highly skilled and experienced guide, youll be in small groups of up to 12 people, and the trip will take around  two hours underground (allow at least three hours in total with kitting up, briefing, walking to the entrance etc. Please allow more time if you would like to visit the Gift Shop or Lamproom Café.

Suitable for ages 7+ (under 18s must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian).
